(just a spoonful of sugar will help those social skills go down)
It’s the self-awareness class they never offered in art school. Think Joan Rivers, Steve Martin, and Dr. Phil sitting at your kitchen table giving you advice. On how to articulate that idea, what not to wear, and how to be okay with who you are in the world. Artist duo Treaty of Iceberg and Sorcery - Casey Droege and Rebecca Mir - have teamed up to design a free workshop for you - chock full of tasty tidbits and helpful hints.
Your best elevator pitch // conversation starters - how to ask the right question // you know all the right answers // how to deliver the punchline // how artists can learn from the art of telling a joke
Treaty will be joined by a local comedian who will teach the ins and outs of telling a good joke/story and how to deliver a punchline. Workshop attendees will then utilize these skills to as icebreakers as they role play in some art world scenarios.
Workshop attendees will be asked to fill out a short Q&A form upon completion of the workshop. They will get to take home a pocket sized Treaty social skills manual as a real world souvenir.
